LED01: Beginning Lead - Lead Me Entertain You
In this redesigned class you will construct a panel with bevels and colored glass. You will also learn how to build a jig, where to start with lead when making a rectangular project, and how to putty and finish the piece. Your project can be any size between 8"x 8" and 14"x 14". You will need to purchase the glass for your project or bring in your own. We will supply the lead, bevels, tools and supplies. The jig will be built on a wooden, mdf, or homasote board. Students should have completed Stained Glass I and II.

Techniques included are kilncarving with fiber paper, Silke Mat and weaving glass. Glass and materials will be provided for the first class. Students will need to purchase glass for their second project week 2. Fusing I recommended, but not required.
