Mosaic III - 3-D Substrates

| Take your mosaics beyond flat surfaces and into the world of sculptural form. In this immersive four-week workshop, students will explore how to build and prepare three-dimensional substrates for mosaic application. We’ll cover multiple approaches to creating a stable 3-D base and discuss the best methods for preparing surfaces so glass adheres securely and lasts outdoors. Students may choose to create a 6–8” sphere or heart-shaped sculpture. Throughout the class, we will focus on:
