In this three-week glass fusing class, students will explore the exciting possibilities of on-edge construction, a technique that involves standing strips of sheet glass on their edges and fusing them together to create dynamic, dimensional designs. Through hands-on practice, students will complete sample tiles and two unique projects, experimenting with both structured and organic compositions. The class will cover essential tips for cutting and arranging glass strips, firing schedules for successful fusing, and techniques for achieving special effects. Glass will be provided for sample projects the first week. Students will need to bring or purchase glass for additional projects in the colors of their choice. |
